A little bit about me, Danielle…

Being from a pretty active family, I’ve always had a keen interest in sport and with that, have inevitably come across sports injuries!

After being treated by physiotherapists and sports massage therapists for numerous ankle injuries, I became very interested in the rehab of sports injuries.

I went on to complete a degree in Sports, Health and Exercise Science at Brunel University and loved learning the science behind how the body moves and heals.

Whilst studying, I also qualified as a Sports Massage therapist in 2013 and have been lucky enough to work alongside a number of physiotherapists in private clinics, SEN schools and Brighton & Hove Albion FC.

It has always been my passion to pursue Sports Massage full time so when I embarked on my ITEC level 4 Sports Massage in late 2020, Re+Active Sports Massage was born.

After working with clients for 3 years, I realised some of them were making short term improvements with massage, but were not addressing the underlying issues therefore I became a qualified Personal Trainer. This has enabled me to work with clients in the gym to strengthen muscle weaknesses, improve their proprioception and help them return to activity/sport without the long term recurring problems.

Sports massage is the manipulation of soft tissue to relieve tension, promote healing and prevent future injury.
